Once the finish has been weakened, alkali salts from the product and calcium carbonate (limescale) deposits from hard water can be trapped into the surface giving a milky, cloudy or chalky appearance. Assuming these are merely deposits and not physical etching, you can remove them with a polish (like Skara in our range), waterspot remover or mild acid, or even a microabrasive 'magic' sponge. If light chemical etching has occured, Skara will help to level the surface and bring back lustre and shine. Stronger etching may require harsher polishing techniques or even refinishing. Always proceed with caution, especially with refurb'd wheels: apply Hjul to wet wheels, never let it dry out on the finish, keep dwell time to a minimum and rinse well. Customers in hard water areas will see this far more often than those in soft water areas.
