Once a soft finish (black powder coated\/refinished wheels, black plastic trim are classic examples) has been weakened, alkali salts from the product and calcium carbonate (limescale) deposits from hard water can be trapped into the surface giving a milky, cloudy or chalky appearance. Assuming these are merely deposits and not physical etching, you can remove them with a polish (like Skara in our range), waterspot remover or mild acid, or even a microabrasive 'magic' sponge. If light chemical etching has occured, Skara will help to level the surface and bring back lustre and shine.
